The Vineyards
Soils, altitudes and microclimates,
embraced in each terroir
Both the winery’s own vineyards and the associated ones are located in different regions of Mendoza. Adding together an area of 400 hectares planted with vineyards of 20 years of average age.
These “fincas”-vineyards- deliver a wide variety of grapes that combine different orientations, soils, altitudes and heterogeneous microclimates. The Winery seeks to obtain the best fruit of each terroir and faithfully reflect the varietal typicity in its wines.
The exceptional geographical characteristics of the different areas, fused with the current production techniques -efficient vineyard management, water restriction control, strict cluster thinning, sprouting and leaf removal-, allow to reach the maximum quality potential of each vineyard.
The agronomist and the enologist team work hand in hand throughout the year on the vines, to ensure the quality standard of the grapes at the time of harvest. The correct balance between sugar and acidity of the grape will result in the best balaced wines. The grapes are harvested manually and transported in bins to the winery’s facilities. Once the grape enters the Winery it is placed into the hoppers from where the whole clusters gently glides along the conveyor belt to the destemmer and grinder.
